I think that…when it comes to my work, there is already so much saddness in the world-anyone can go out and create a work of art with their depression, or their anxieties, there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve seen many a beautiful work. I think there’s something breathtaking in taking your hard life, your struggles and your sadness and turning it into something colorful and positive-it’s how I approach what I do. Why I do what I do. If your sadness makes beautiful art that makes others smile, then why not? That’s one less frown in the world.
